    Default Testudo

This is an extremely important issue... Will romans have the proper testudo formation , like it was historically and similar to the RTWI ? Or we are doomed with the broken , uneven and messy shieldrising of teutoburg gameplay video?

Since (if i remember correctly) they said it will be available from the start for the roman units, the best would be having 2 testudo formations: the "teutoburg one" (side not shielded, but with some change to make it feel more like a formation) available from the start, and the "the rome 1 one" (with side covered) available through research in late game and only to experienced legionaries.
Disclaimer: the post above is way way prealpha, the final version will be way better than this.

I don't want to go OffT, but what limited the legions to cover their sides using the testudo at first?

You failed to describe to me in detail how the Testudo formation is "broken, uneven, and messy shieldrising"

Therefor, I don't know what the hell it is you're talking about.

I'm closing this as I don't really see this thread generating any meaningful discussion.
