    Default Hero epithets

Hi all, good to be back, love this timeless mod.

just quickly though: faramir is defending east osgiliath to the death and captures loads of orcs. being gondor i dont want to release nor ransom them, thus they get exectuted. doing this faramir is now 'the merciless' can you guys in the modding/game community tell me how to remove this epithet either in game or game files (as i know my way around there)

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi and well met

you can use console commands, remove_trait

I think the correct trait is RansomDread, but I'm not sure (you can check Palantir guide or google M2TW generals trait)

    hope it helps

Press the ~ key (on a Danish Keyboard it is the æ/ae) to bring the console up.

Write remove_trait Faramir "BattleDread" 4 Edit, it is in fact "CaptorDread" 4

    Press "enter".

You can find all traits for Vanilla MTW2 KD here in Salisian's excellent guide.

Also, in order to avoid cluttering the forum the local moderators encourage questions such as this to be asked in the "Official Questions" thread. So when you have a question, pop over there to post it.

    Oh and welcome.

    Here is a list:
    http://us.gamespot.com/medieval-ii-total-war/cheats/

And a better one with ancillaries, traits and anti's
    http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/931592-me...war/faqs/50116

You have to remove your trait/ancillary first, then add the new one.

Use "give_ancillary this *exact ancillary name*" to add ancillary
Use "remove_ancillary this *exact ancillary name*" to remove ancillary

Use "give_trait this *exact trait name*" to add trait
Use "remove_trait this *exact trait name*" to remove trait

Yes i use this myself, but only to remove boring ancillaries...

Keep in mind, however, removing the trait will NOT remove the epithet, as well.
