Forget Medieval 3, I want Dynasty 1

Okay, so I decided to make this THREAD to kinda figure out how a Dynasty: Total war might work and what time it should be on. I will keep adding onto this thread as I get more ideas on how this game would work.

I was thinking that a Dynasty total war might be from 1500 to maybe 1700.
It would encompass as far south as northern austrailia, as far west as india, as far north as russia, and as far east as....well ocean. I started to think that the main factions could be.
Hideyoshi Japan
Joeson Korea
Ming Dynasty

I was also thinking of adding India and maybe Russia into this mix, but a minimal european involvment would be preferable. Maybe some early colonies or territories owned by the portuguese.
Like I said, I will be editing this thread as time goes on. And add new playable Factions for this era. If you have any ideas, let me know. I have to delve deeper into this time period. Mainley was looking for suggestions for this type of game. Also I ddint know really where I could post this where it would make sense and where I could get alot of suggestions.

I would much rather have a game based around the events of the Three Kingdoms era. Taking over the entire region as Cao Cao would be awesome in the total war engine.

What if they had the game that I'm proposing, but with a little campiagn like napoleon where you can be Cao Cao?

Well anyways before this thread gets moved to no man's land, I'm going to say that a Mongol TW would be badass.
So would a Warring States TW, but that's never going to happen.

Nope I think it would suck.

Three Kingdoms would be the period for an Oriental alternative to Shogun. You have three strongly defined factions, plenty of poetic literature and the presence of heroes.

heres the thing, I'm looking for diversity, like in Empire. Like i said earlier, the three kingdoms could be a mini campaign

none of the above, to be honest just making this for myself, had a discussion with someone and got excited about the idea of this game. Anyway if the mods would like they could remove this, wouldnt hurt me at all. But if its not that big of deal then w-e. But your three sure are always the first to comment on my threads

If you didnt, it wouldnt remain on the top.

The Boxer Rebellion sounds so stupid in English, but was probably the most savage and inhumane civil war of all time.

The only eras in China I see would work is Warring States era, 16 kingdoms or the Three Kingdoms era. Though the factions won't be that many, the best would include china with the rest of the world. But that would not be historical accurate, more like a fantasy TW.. But I wouldn't mind a little different way of doing history, one thing I'd love to see is Rome vs Han empire!

There would be enough different scenarios possible. Either one including mainly Chinese Civil Wars (e.g. Three Kingdoms or Warring States period) or something with large parts of Asia (e.g. Mongols and Yuan-Dynasty or the Tang Dynasty in the 7th/8th century). There are many unique cultures in Eastern Asia ranging from various Korean and Japanese states to Dai Viet, Annam, Khmer, Thais, Pagan, Kingdom of Dali in southwestern China or various sea-trading Malay Empires in Indonesia.

THIS. They NEED to create a game themed to the East of the Middle East and to the West of Japan. A China game would be amazing. Depending on how they develop the game you could have a base feudal era game, something else, and finally a modern era DLC (Opium wars, Imperialism, contact with the West, Boxer Rebellion, Taiping Rebellion, the Seven Nation Alliance, etc). This game has the potential to produce DLC like crazy, and keep its life prolonged..
