That's the question, if it's supposed to be exactly mods/british_isles/saves then something is wrong because my saves are not appearing there. Where would it be, other than that?

Windows Vista or higher? My guess is that you go to {{Your Name}}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\Mods\British_isles\saves or something. If your AppData folder is hidden, you can unhide it by going to control panel --> security, then toggle from "Do Not Show Hidden Files and Folders" to "Do Show Hidden Files and Folders." At least, I think that's the Vista route. Not sure about Windows 7 and such.
