Theatre/Conservatorium question
So, I've been playing on campaign as the French and I was wondering: why do the Theatre and the Conservatorium cost so much when they give just a small happiness bonus? Is there a secret bonus which isn't mentioned? I mean, the Military Academy gives some decent units, but nowhere is mentioned that there are given special ancillaries and traits to the generals who happen to live in the city where the Academy was constructed in (though it happens).

Re: Theatre/Conservatorium question
High cost, low marginal utility... yeah, probably should be one of the last buildings you construct, if you construct one at all. It can give cultured traits to generals, but that's not a big deal If you're rolling in dough so much that your generals are gaining corruption traits, though, by all means build one. Often factions get buildings which provide no benefit. The most common one is the armour factory (which only benefits the Italian factions, particularly Milan). The Moors are wasting their effort building anything beyond a basic armourer, except maybe a heavy armourer to upgrade their generals' bodyguards. Portugal gets no benefit from constructing military academies. At least theatres and conservatories provide some benefit.
Don't build them if you're on a tight budget, and don't build them if you have more useful buildings to build, but if you have the money, they provide a (small) benefit.
