Default Unable to launch campaign in 3.0 and 3.2

Hi everyone, I'm getting a pretty frustrating CTD whenever I try to start a campaign. I can get through the splash screens and the main menu, but once I select a faction and hit start I get the "unspecified error" message. I read through some of the FAQs and such, and didn't find anything similar to what I went through so I figured I'd post a new thread. I actually enabled TATW to run as admin but when it launches I get an error saying it can't find Kingdoms.exe.

If it helps I'm running a CD version on windows 7 right now.
    Thanks in advance!

Go here and follow the instructions. These things you need to do:
    1. edit the security for your main M2TW folder and unhide hidden folders, after you do this, check the Virtual store and delete M2TW folder if you find it there.
    2. uninstall TATW using Start/ Control Panel/ Uninstall Program.
    3. delete manually Third_Age_3 folder from your ..Medieval II Total War/ mods folder.
    4. Install TATW ( all four Installers, TATW 3.0 part one and part two, TATW patch 3.1 and patch 3.2 )

For battle crashes, go to Control Panel, Clock, Date and Time, Change the time zone, Change time zone, uncheck `Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Savings time`.
American, French, Israeli and British government's ILLEGAL aggression against the Syrian people, without any proof for chemical attacks in Douma, and without waiting for OPCW to conduct their investigation..
Sons of *******, leave that poor, war torn country in peace.
If you are a citizen of one of these countries, then DO NOT ask any help from me on these forums, since, in protest against this aggression by your governments, I do not provide assistance/help anymore.
Let Syria be finally in peace.

Hi ElvenKind, thanks for the help. It took a while but I got TATW up and running with your advice.
