    Default Shed artwork service

    Hi,

This a new service started by thread. Here we will take requests for RPG artwork - both frontpage ad poster and sigs. The advantage here is that you'll get your artwork done here without having to roam the graphic sections. Please note that the artwork is done for RPG games only.

There are just a few things to remember while posting requests:

    - Post a brief description of how you like your artwork to be.
    - Mention clearly if you want a frontpage poster or sig (mention the size too) or both.
    - Give us a reasonable amount of time, as we all have RL and other site commitments.

I have a fair idea for a Game of Thrones advertising signature:

You know that famous HBO Rome poster?
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

We could do a similar thing, but with a knight in a medieval town/city instead?

    Thoughts?

That's an excellent idea. I'll start searching the web for the relevant pics.

Hey, I want to make a promotional sig for the Genesis of empire game that is being proposed.

I was thinking getting a sig made for civilized states featuring hoplites in like the old vase style animation like this

or like the famous mosaic of Alexander at the battle of Issus

Something with a very orderly and heroic composition, and in a very old medium like pottery, or a mosaic or sculpture

Then perhaps another sig for the barbarian factions showing like a germanic warband or celtic heavy infantry or Vercingetorix, and something with a very organic and less organized feel.

    Good reminder!

@BF: Can you provide me with the cutouts you wish to put in the sig? I can compare them to the backgrounds I collected and make some prototypes.

I have no cutouts .... hold on, let me go search..

Edit: Yep, I have no idea where to get a knight or medieval guard doing a similar pose as that Roman soldier.
    Sorry, M.
Maybe we can find another pose that serves a similar effect..

As for signatures for Genesis, do four:
    - Something Grecian as Ace has suggested, though preferably not something well known like Megas Alexandros
    - Something Eastern/Egyptian, perhaps Babylonian wall artwork? (You know, Ishar Gate, lions, bulls, Mosaics in general)
    - Something with stereotypical Germanic warriors for the Northmen? I personally favor those wooden carvings, particularly the ones detailing the Volsunga Saga.
    - Something nomadic or otherwise even more primitive; Scythian/Sarmatian jewelry? Bunches of riders? Maybe a large horde camp? Or a nomadic set of tents on a plain?

Wait, you wanted generic knight pics? I thought you were thinking of actual GoT characters.

I'd stay away from canon characters. Just put some knight or noble or something else high medieval in there with a bloody weapon; something that suggests intrigue in a city.
In the past, everyone always said that canon characters were good ads, but I've always disagreed. We don't play canon characters at all.
