Correct use of kisho ninja?
Hi there,
I recently started playing the FotS Campaign and used the kisho ninja for the first time. I've never really used them before, because I wasn't too fond of them in the S2 campaign.
But I noticed they are extremely powerful in FotS. I can easily take out enemy high value targets, e.g. light infantry, artillery or generals, and they are awesome at siege battles. Just have 2 units climb the back wall, one unit will fight the few defenders of the inner wall and the other unit will take the castle.
However, I went back to the standard campaign to check them out playing as the Hattori, but it seems to me that they are not that powerful anymore. I manage to manouver them around the enemy and attack units from the back, but it occurs often that my kisho ninja get routed, even though the unit they are fighting is occupied on two sides.
Heck, they even routed against monk archers... I thought that might be a good target lol.
So is there a different approach I hvae to consider in the normal campaign?

For me the main factor when deciding how effective a unit is is combat effectiveness in comparison to upkeep. And Kisho ninjas are terrible in that regard.

They aren't really worth it, can get run down by cav fairly easily too.
