Brainstorm
One of my faults is that I almost always try to constantly improve games. I can't help it. I always think crap up and then I have to suggest it.
What do you guys think of more individualized group combat roles? We already have unique professions, but I was thinking that a system like that could be more useful in a small group scenario.
If we geared equipment and stuff into different categories, ranged attacks, heavy armor, shields, dual wielded weapons and then give our characters a specific combat specialty? I think it could be interesting. I'll flesh out the idea more if it sounds interesting to anyone else.

Yeah, something like that. What each character is proficient in will sort of determine his role in combat, whether it be support, a vanguard of sorts, long(er) range combat, specialty roles such as troll slayers, etc.
