I like to see an Indian or Arabian faction . West has enough factions while east is still empty even tough we have pontus too .

If the map goes further in the east you'll feel the emptiness there .

By the way , will there be any possibility to see the game out sooner ( like in summer )?

Depends on how fast they can fix the bugs and polish everything. If they announce a beta test soon, then it is possible, knowing that their betas usually last three months. I think early August could be the earliest possible release date.

Not trying to rub anything in, but I did chuckle when I clicked on this thread and saw this post in the light of recent announcements.

    From wikipedia about seleucid:

Alexander's generals (the Diadochi) jostled for supremacy over parts of his empire. Ptolemy, a former general and the satrap of Egypt, was the first to challenge the new system; this led to the demise of Perdiccas. Ptolemy's revolt led to a new subdivision of the empire with the Partition of Triparadisus in 320 BC. Seleucus, who had been "Commander-in-Chief of the camp" under Perdiccas since 323 BC but helped to assassinate him later, received Babylonia and, from that point, continued to expand his dominions ruthlessly. Seleucus established himself in Babylon in 312 BC, the year used as the foundation date of the Seleucid Empire.

So CA can still place seleucid's capital only which is at babylonia or mesopotamia only...

Can you put together Sarmathians and Scythians ? Sarmatians were of Scythians origins too , it's like putting Arverni and Gauls on two different slots .

Finally. Someone understands me. The difference is very negligible. If one, the other or another steppe faction gets into game, I'll be happy. Already satisfied with nomadic Parni (Parthians), but a truly nomadic faction with like moveable cities, unique nomadic government, buildings, etc, would be rad!

Support for Seleucids and Iberians as DLC... those two regions need playable factions badly, especially given when Greece has 4 playable factions in a relatively small region of the world.

So how will these faction additions work? Because won't these factions be in the game already, just not playable in campaign or custom battles? So Iberia, the Seleucids, etc. will be IN the game at launch, and conquerable by any playable faction, just not available to use to the player, right?

For example, say I don't preorder and I don't get the Greek Culture Pack. Aren't Athens, Sparta, and Epirus still in the game? If not, what faction(s) will occupy their spot on the campaign map?

Is CA going to charge for DLC that just unlocks these factions in the campaign? Presumably they will add some additional units and features, but it seems a little odd to me to include the factions as non-playable, then charge to make them playable later down the line.

And if they are only releasing entirely new factions as playable DLC that don't exist in the original game (Pontus and these Greek factions), what is in their place on the campaign map when you first start Rome 2?

its probable that they will be in the game, with new units added with the dlc pack and the ability to play those factions

I hope to see Sparta or any other Greek faction or an asian faction.

Personally I'm hoping for at least 4 additional DLC factions: 3 most important factions for me would be Seleucids & Sparta (or another Greek city state) & Iberian tribe. As a fourth additional faction I would like to see either Thracians/Dacians/Scyths
