Let's get our ducks in a row registration wise and I'll set up a set of our rules we'll be using once we can determine the scope of our game.

First.
Didn't think this would start so soon. Excellent.
Gandalf, regarding your unit there are several Irish brigades in the union army, did you have a particular one in mind?
Any chance of getting Lt Col Chamberlain in about a year and a half early? Historically joined and was given the rank of Lt Col in Sep. '62.
Or what about Brig. Gen. Hancock, shortly promoted from quartermaster in Sep. '61.
Can I introduce and register Hancock when the proper time occurs?
Any answer to my question posed in the proposal thread, on Chamberlain and Hancock?
You can get Chamberlain in early, for general ranks I'd rather keep it a bit strict in terms of rank. Location is less concerning. I want to fill up some corps in each major army before we allow it to become PC.
Ah yes, understood.
yes of course. I'd register him now though and introduce him later
I'll allow a few days for registration, then we'll see what we have.
So, is a character in the navy of either side allowed?
I doubt we're going to have enough players interested for a naval warfare element, and I'm not going to moderate NPCs all day long for it I'm afraid.
soo.. correct me if I am wrong, but in order for the regiments to be paid for, we must use industrial points as well? This leads me to my second question, if it is one rifle per man, and 1 point per rifle, then the union can only have 5700 men this first year. Is this correct?
I need to take a closer look, give me a minute.
Yeah, I accidentally put the annual values for the starting values. The starting values should be much higher. I'll edit them in now.
Okay, so no navy. What about playing as one of the International volunteers who became generals? I can provide an example if required.
In 1861?
It would probably be more useful to be an immigrant in a regimental role.
How I'm imagining the RP will work is the generals determine the tsrategy of the battle, then we all zoom into our little individual units to RP the battle itself.
