Default City Names on Strat Map/Scripting Question

Is there any way I can edit it so that city names will always be visible on the strat map? Right now I can only see them when I hover the mouse over the settlement.

Also, is there any way I can zoom further in on the strat/campaign maps?

And finally, could anybody tell me what scripted advantages the AI gets? I'll be honest, I might want to remove some of them...

You can change that in the preferences.txt file in EB/preferences/ folder.
    change LABEL_SETTLEMENTS:FALSE to LABEL_SETTLEMENTS:TRUE

same text file for strat map zoom: change CAMERA_FOV:85.000000 to CAMERA_FOV:75.000000
not 100% sure if thats for the battle or strat map though, and anything beyond that range 75-85 might cause problems, so I've been told, not 100% sure on that either

“The hardest thing in the world is to assume the mood of a warrior. It is of no use to be sad and complain and feel justified in doing so, believing that someone is always doing something to us. Nobody is doing anything to anybody, much less to a warrior.” ― Don Juan

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." -- Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Control-T also allows you to toggle between city names on and off while in the game.
