Default CTD in SS 6.4 playing as norway

    Hi
im having the same ctd at the end of turn 112 when playing as norway in the early campaign. It always crashs when loading the Kwarez. Empire..
    How can i fix it?

If you need any information or logs tell me and maybe tell me how to find them.
I am playing SS with the Historical Improvement mod .97 or so but the campaign works as HRE for example, so i figure its not a problem of the submod.

    Thanks a lot

Had something similar once. What did help was to do the AI turn with fog of war disabled and slowed down unit movement for that very faction. Else without the latter, it might skip or not shown certain units movements due to short pathings or whatever else the AI is doing. As far as I remember with fast movement the CTD occurred anyway but was working once disabled.

    Might be worth a try.

hmm have been trying to figure out how to turn off fog of war for the ai turn or slow down unit movement speed for a specific faction. I figure that would be something i would have to rewrite in data, or am i completly wrong?
Srry im pretty clueless when it comes to fixing such a bug.
Would i have to play the whole game with fog of war off or just for the turn the CTD keeps occuring?

space -> toggle fast/slow unit movement
erm get the console up (that you might need to check online for the cheat console...am using german layout, so my key is a different one) -> type in: toggle_fow and press enter

You'd only need to toggle fog of war, before you end your turn - you'd even toggle it amidst the AI turn, but it might be delayed.
In your next turn, you can enable fog o' war again.

I think in my game it was a moving diplomat or heretic, which caused the CTD but can be anything else as well.
I assume toggle_fow is needed, otherwise the movement, which happens in fog of war is pre-calculated and the units just 'warp' to their location. Even with it disabled, the 'warping' movement still occurs, if ie a unit just have to pass a short route - and that's why it crashed for me. It think the unit encountered a hidden unit at the end. (can't remember anymore) And with space pressed, every stupid single movement is shown ^^ Though you'd only need to press it in the factions' turn, where the CTD occured.

Thanks for the advice, first I didnt quite get it. Actually pretty simple
The problem still occurs but probably i found out why. It wasnt an agent but this time (for some reason the kwarz ctd stopped happening, now i have one with byzanz) byzantine armies are taking the last georgian city.

I think some people have had similar problems with ctd at faction destruction. Is there a solution?
