Why? Why pay more for a crappier card?

    Excellent choices there Cemendur!

Although are you going to use the same screen? Why not use 2 comps?

If you new anything about GPU's you would know that the X1900XT is by far the better card.

Eh? The last 3 comparisons I read all clearly said that the NVidia is better (which is true of course, since NVidia is the best! )

Without looking any further into this thread and stopping at your posts I can tell you now Lusted won't get much beyond 2 ghz.

    Stands to reason then.

Oh i will, im going to be taking pics of some of my games over the next few days so i have a record of how things look now. Once i've built my new comp and got things running ill take comparison pics to see just how much better the graphics are, and ill say how much faster the load times are.

EDIT: im interested in the OC thing as well.

Lusted, I envy your hardware. Very very cheap too.

Edit: Pounds, pounds, pounds. Still a good price though.

That is 1330 dollars and a lot of money. The most expensive computer I have every brought did not come close to half that.

Well, the most expensive (only) computer I bought was nearly the double (in 2001) and can't even possible preform half as good as Lusted's. Of course that included all the software, internet-installation and such.

I guess people without the knowhow and without a creditcard to buy stuff online are pretty much destined to pay too much?

Well, Computers do age rapidly. My 400 dollar PC brought in 2008 should have a fair chance of beating him.
