how can i save a recording

For a project at school i would like to use a med 2 battle recording. I was wondering if you could tell me where to find it and with what to play it.

Legend of total war can probably help you out with this, but you should probably use fraps to record. If you are using a custom battle you can finish the battle and save the replay and record afterwards by replaying it, that way there is no commanding or UI in the way of the video and you can save your time getting some neat close ups. You should also use the cinematic editor.
