    Default New Dwarf Unit

    I made this unit to go with the new garrison script I'm making for my compilation submod. It is a peasant quality dwarven unit that will spawn with the new garrison script to represent the average inhabitants of a settlement. I also plan to use this as a base model for many more dwarven units for two new dwarf factions that will be in my submod. I figured others might want a base dwarf model they can use for similar purposes.

    I'm posting it here separately for other modders to use for modding new dwarf units, rather than waiting for KK's permission to use his models since I don't think he visits here lately. All parts of this model and texture are from free open sources (Rusichi and Absynthia's Briton models). Anyone who wants to use or edit this unit for release in another submod is free to do so, no permission needed, just give credit to me, the Rusichi team, and Absinthia.

    Exactly. I see many more new dwarf units in the near future, now that we have this as an open resource for modders.

    I certainly plan to do some for my two new dwarf factions, the Ironfists of Ered Harmal in the east, and Bavor's Folk in the Yellow Mountains south of Harad.

    Feel free to edit them however you see fit. I left the beards shorter on these guys deliberately because they represent the dwarf equivalent of peasants, rather than lords or professional warriors who could afford long fancy hairstyles. Later, higher tier units will have longer/fancier hair and beards.

    It would be kool to see some Dwarf units re-done in the likeness of the Hobbit films using the new model!

    It's because ALL Dwarves wear long beard . But do as you want.

    They aren't soldiers, so their legs wouldn't be as beefy.

    Well, no they don't all wear long beards, not as they're portrayed in the PJ movies anyway, which is the general basis for TATW. A long, well coifed beard as shown on characters such as Gimli, Bombur, or Balin, requires a significant amount of leisure time and/or the help of a personal servant to maintain. To expect that this would be the norm for dwarves of all social classes is not reasonable, IMO.

    Like I said anyway, please feel free to mod this model however you want to portray the dwarves. The point of this release is that now we have a dwarf scale body model that works with TATW's dwarf animations, which modders can use to create any new dwarf units they want to. Want to add longer beards, thicker legs, heavy armour, two handed weapons, or whatever your imagination dictates to this model for your own build? Have at it.

    Also for those who want bigger beards etc, just edit them yourselves , pretty simple to do!

    You can ask me for permission to use my units for any sub-mod via pm, but I will decide that individually.

    Sneak peak at one of the new units I've made with this (now with longer beards and thicker legs !). These are Ironfist Warriors, basic tier 1 infantry for my new dwarf faction.

    Hi! I used your resource to make some new units for my mod, but the arms get really screwed up Have you tried importing the unit to your game, or have anyone else noticed this?
