Just curious
1-turn player here.
EDIT: Meant to make this a poll. Guess it didn't work...

1 turn here as well. Less stacks, more micro-management and I actually have to plan my armies in advance![]()
1 turn for all things said above
One. I never even considered trying a zero-turn campaign. The stack slog would be unrelenting. More, it seems unrealistic to raise a huge army in such a short period. Constituting a legion, at least, would take quite a long time.
1-turn at the 100% of the games.
i changed my edu to 2 turns {i also have a 3 turn edu made up} i like to turtle at the begining of the 2-3 turn campaigns then later it becomes very interesting as losing a decisive large battle becomes very damaging indeed, i found through a lot of testing that i like it this way,the fear of defeat adds more pressure and the war plan has to right......anybody else play 2-3 turn campaigns?

If it hadn't become completely obvious by now......
1-turn. All the way, every time - it's just 'better' in so many ways!
That said, if it's battles you really prefer to fight and just have a less important background element/campaign to tie them together - then 0-turn may well be for you.![]()

RSII 2.5/2.6 Tester and pesky irritant to the Team. Mucho praise for long suffering dvk'.

GoRR 0.1 beta - Glory of Rome Remastered
Was 0 turn but have become a 1 turn convert. More challenging and from the campaigns I've now tested on RS2.6, still plenty of battles (and more challenging because you can't instantly fix things if disaster strikes).
In fact, most of my work at the moment is tweaking the one turn campaign to make it challenging for every faction the player tries - I think the beta testers will agree that it's all getting a lot harder!!
^ tone, all your last 5-10 posts, make me really glad![]()
I uswd to play 0 turn because I thought 1 turn meant literally you had 1 turn to do things... kinda like those chess soloutions. And of course Syracuse is a 0 turn thing too and I used to play as them a lot. But now I'm a 1 turner.
One turn is the way to go.

Yeah, and if you think there isn't enough battles in 1 turn? I ran a defensive campaign along the East coast of Spain for about a week of gameplay... The stacks of Elite Scutarii just wouldn't end.![]()

Was 0-turn up until 30 minutes ago, mainly because I'd already built up a pretty decent Dacian empire and I didn't really feel like starting over. I then discovered the joys of barely taking out an attacking Praetorian legion (took probably 80% casualties among my infantry, a little over 50% in total) and then being attacked by 3 full stacks of post-Augustan legionaries immediately afterward. So I auto-won that ****, and when my turn finally came around there were two more Roman stacks headed straight into the center of my empire.
Two each his own, I guess, but imma be starting my Dacian campaign over tommorow.
Im doing 0 turns as on the begining i didnt look into the diference ,but in the future i will go with 1 turn as a normal TW game.
