New PC setup/Help
Hi Forum,
Ive recently got hold of a new rig and i will be honest i know nothing about setting it up. Im not all in doubt as i always keep drivers up to date on everything and i use orbit Pro (full paid version) to keep the PC clean and healthy But when it comes to setting this thing up im totaly lost. Here's my spec's
Diablo GTX
Power supply: Corsair CX600 600W
Core i7 2600K 8MB Cache Socket 1155
nVidia GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCI
16GB Corsair DDR3 1600MHz C9 Dual Channel Memory Kit (4 x 4GB)
Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) Motherboard
Onboard HD 7.1 Audio
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit
Its not a bad rig that I know and i want to get the best from it. It came with EXPERT Tool installed and i see thats for iver clocking and stuff but i would never go there. ive also downloaded Nvidia Inspector but when you dont know what your tweeking your just making thinga worse right?
So what Im asking/ In need of is someone to take this big Irish egit and help set up his PC the right way from making the best of my 16GB memory and the likes. Its only use is gaming and thats the way i like it, keeps the wife and all from using it.
So fingers crossed ehh!
Cheers V'

Re: New PC setup/Help
do you need help physically assembling the PC components? Or do you just need help setting the game up for optimum settings?

Re: New PC setup/Help
You should be all good to go my friend, the processor and graphics card are both good enough to hit the game on max settings on DX11. Put everything in the "graphics" section of the game to "high" or "ultra" and you should be sweet. If you experience any lag, I would turn off "shadows" and "anti-aliasing" but you should be all good.

Re: New PC setup/Help
sorry to hear that dude... the anti-aliasing options, as well as shadows are very intensive so i would turn them off.
Make sure you are not running any programmes in the background of your PC. you should also consider running the game in DX9 or DX10 to see how it runs. Are you running any mods? Elements of mods, like the increased unit sizes, can slow down your pc...

Re: New PC setup/Help
have you used your Nvidia control panel before? The Nvidia icon should be in the bottom right corner of your desktop. Open that and go to "Manage 3D settings" and start to tweak some options in there. Im not at my home PC right now so cant walk you through the options, but its fairly self explanatory. Hover over each parameter to get a description, then turn the ones off that are graphics/CPU intensive.
