DX11 Black Screen

I'm out of ideas.. I launched Shogun II today and it was stuck on a black screen.. The splash screen don't even appear.
The game ran fine when launched in DX9, so I got confused. After a quick google people seemed to think it was:

1. Realtek audio driver. Uninstalled that, didn't help
2. Preference file. Deleted that, didn't help
3. Blob file. Deleted that, didn't help
4. Reinstalled game, verified steam cache. Did both. neither worked..
5. Manually delete every folder, including the CA folder in Appdata after uninstalling the game, then reinstalling.. DID NOT HELP...

If anyone have any other bright ideas, PLEASE.. For the love of all that is holy.. SHARE THEM! :<

Forgot to mention specs if that's at all helpful

680, 2500k@ 4.5, 16GB Vengeance ram (4x4)

Have you tried it again on dx9?

The game works perfectly fine in DX9.. That's what I find weird. It worked in DX11 like 4 hours ago, then a flash update (don't know if that was just coincidence) and bam.. no DX11. It won't even load the DX11 benchmark.

Flash is for the Encyclopedia, it should not affect the game unless you're using Google Chrome and it's still using a different version of Flash for its plugin.

I'm indeed using Chrome, but I've always (or at least in the time I've had S2 installed) had Chrome, and Shogun has just started acting weird.

Then try it LestaT's way, disable all its toolbars and plugins. One member reported having to delete all toolbars in his registry and others have had trouble with Chrome's versions of plugins.

One member had to totally uninstall Flash and reinstall it from Adobe's website to get it to work right.
