Background Story:


The second son of an English Lord and a Scots Noblewoman, Henry was not afforded the luxury of being groomed to be his father's successor: he was instead tasked with finding his own way in the world. Finding employ in the retinue of the famous John de Talbot, the Earl of Shrewsbury, Henry accompanied the grizzled old warrior to Gascony to liberate it from the foul french. Fighting in the disastrous Battle of Castillon, Henry was captured by the French and released on the promise never to fight for England again. True to his word, he left for the Mediterranean, entering the employ of an Arab Merchant which took him to Constantinople; he was subsequently hired as a mercenary under the service of the esteemed Ottoman Sultan, Mehmed, whom he serves as a bodyguard, retainer, and blade for hire.

Henry is tall and fair of hair, with blue eyes. He is clean shaven. Quick to laugh and smile, Henry is however deadly when he gets down to business.

Background Story:

Born and raised in the court of the Angevin King as an exile, Ioannes was never afforded much attention, and usually passed his time with his Italian mentor; Marco di Messina, who taught him in the ways of the scholar and the merchant in the hope that he could earn back his legacy through coin. At the age of eighteen he was evicted from court after bedding a very high-born noblewoman, and entered Contstantinople as a travelling merchant under the alias of Alexios of Nicaea. He now seeks to earn enough coin to win back the legacy of his forefathers, through orthodox means or otherwise.


Short and stocky with dark hair and a melancholy demeanour; Ioannes is deep and thoughtful, and was considered quite attractive to the ladies of the Angevin court. He does however possess a fiery temper and a penchant for defiance, one that he lets get the better of him when he knows it should not.

Background
Selim hailed from a family which had links to the great Ayyubids. But if the Ayyubids had opulence and glory, this family from the recent centuries suffered from problems. In comparison to their ancestors, they were far from power or wealth. But they still had the blood flowing in their veins. The previous generation taught their only child, Selim, to be ambitious and try restore the greatness. But this was easier only in words. Selim worked hard to steady his finances and hone his skill, which also included common sense. The coming of Mehmet II presented the very opportunity, the tell-tell signs of a rising empire. He hastened to enter the Sultan's service. He also married a maiden Maria, of the Komnenos clan, thereby cementing his ties to a house of old nobility.

Background
Isildor was one of the scattered, but surviving members of the Komnenos clan. Their ancestors were Roman emperors, but now they were exiles. They went into hiding to protect the future of the remaining family from the plots of their enemies and rivals. But Isildor had a quick and far seeing wit of a merchant. Worried about the declining Roman empire, he welcomed the opportunity in the form of marriage proposal for his sister with haste. With his sister married into a native house, and Isildor as her husband's advisor and confidant, he at last had the chance to be free from fear of strife.

Biography:
The Malkocoglu was one of the families that led the akinci (light cavalry) corps in the Ottoman Empire and later joined the Ottoman Army. Founded by Malkoc Bey who fought at the Battle of Kosovo and Nicopolis, they have always served as military commanders. Hamza is the grandson of Malkoc Bey and is keeping the family tradition to serve in the Army, but as he studied scholarship in his youth he has gotten a strong understanding of administration and production.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:  Age : 18 Allocated Points : 0 Traits : None Background : Youngest son of Vlad II Dracul, Voivode of Wallachia who was deposed by rival factions in 1442 and restored with Ottoman support following the promise of tribute and sending his sons Vlad and Radu to the Sublime Porte as hostages to ensure his loyalty, primarily residing in Edirne(Adrianople). Vlad would later be released to take his place on the throne of Wallachia following Vlad II's death in 1448 in a revolt supported by the Hungarian regent, John Hunyadi and killed his original heir, Mircea, by burying him alive after blinding at Târgoviște. Radu would convert to Islam not long after, and was allowed into the Ottoman Imperial Court at a unknown rank. He also would fight in the Siege of Constantiople.
