I have been having troubleplaying Shogun 2. I built a computer expressly for this game about 9 monthsago. It is composed of an Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3Ghz Unlocked LGA1155processor, Visiontek Radeon HD 6670 1GB graphics card, Crucial 8GB DDR3 1333MHzCL9 Kit GDDR5 PCIe RAM, Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 Intel Z68 LGA1155 motherboard, WDCaviar Blue 500GB SATA HD 7200/16MB/SATA-6G hard drive, an LG 24X SATA DVDRW,and a 485w power supply. I loaded Windows 7 Home Premium. I dedicated this rigto playing games only ( no internet surfing or business programs) . Everythingloaded up ok initially. The problem came after an automatic update of thegraphics card drivers. I think this was around the end of January this year. The first time I tried to play after the update, the game loaded ok butsuddenly froze during a naval move. The computer locked up so bad that itcorrupted the Windows installation {the boot manager program was damaged orerased). I had installed and played Total War Empires and Total War Napoleon aswell as Gary Grigsby's War in the East with no problem as well as Total WarShogun before the graphics card update. I reinstalled Windows 7 with anotherhard drive I had and exactly the same thing happened. I think the graphics cardupdate had something to do with the problem, but I don't know for sure. I reinstalled War in the East and it isplaying fine. Do you guys have any input for me. I wouldlike to play the game, but I'm not willing to reinstall Steam or any other gamestill I have an idea what is wrong
