Diplomacy Penalty

I have read about diplomatic penalty for declaration of war on trade partners in Empire and Shogun, but I had never got those before. Does this occur in harder difficulties, since I only play on Normal. From the Shogun diplomatic screen with a trade partner, no message about penalty for declaration of war while trading. I had seen a diplomatic penalty warning if there are any other treaties, even minor ones like access through their lands, or the cooling off period after access expired. I had started a lot of wars with trade partners during my 4 world Empire conquests, 2 on hold Empire Campaigns, 80% and 40%, and several dropped campaigns due change in playing styles, and Fukuhara Taira/Hiraizumi Fujiwara/Takeda Long Campaigns.

Oh, forgot to mention that I play Vanilla, up to date by Steam, games only.

You don't get a message. You just get a penalty in the relation tabs for breaking treaties.

Its will warn you about penalty when you attempt to break treaty with others.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I did not get any penalty in the relation tabs for breaking the trade treaties. I do see it for all other treaties.

Oh wait, do you mean the broken trade treaty penalty for only the partner. I do see that. But from I read, I thought that applies to all foreign nations, since this ruined all players' foreign relations.
