probably there is nothing special but i swear that this campaign was intense!!

Was really really hard, ai is so annoying... anyway i noticed that that image don't show that i did a repubblic so here is another proof!

Realm divide is insane if you go repubblic in fots or very easy if you stand with shogunate or emperor!!

Contgrats! My hat is off to you! I've played all the clans as independent, mostly on normal, but a few on hard and those few times were intense enough for me. Even on normal, going Republic can be challenging. I don't think I am even up for a legendary attempt.

If you ever get the energy. Do it on short and upload the result in the Legendary Republic challenge, with the short time limit it is even harder.

After seeing this, I can only say 'wow'. Congratulations mate, you completed one of the toughest jobs in the history of TW.

What I am interested to know is, how many times did the enemy land troops on your land once you were busy? I made a Satsuma Republic, but I couldn't even get out of Kyushu before the whole of Japan came up in ships and landed an impossible number of troops on all of my shores.

Also, I would hate to think of the large number of naval bombardments you would have faced. I get bombed everywhere by small gunboats which escape as soon as my slow Republican fleet comes near them.

They have landed like 10-15 times. I only used to have 2-3 line infantry per provinces and try to renforce province when i see some force landing. it's kinda annoying but with fortress and 3-4 line infantry + garrison you can hold the provinces preatty easly. it's kinda sick the number of naval bombardments it's like you cannot build 1 ship that it goes down. i had american trading port and i used it for 3-4 turns for americans marine then it's like permadamaged.

@deliciuz i'll try a shot campaign but i'm kinda scared of having so few turns. will try soon anyway!

Repubblic anyway is an insane challenge at Legendary!!

In my campaign they always land huge full-stack armies which makes it impossible to hold province without keeping two reserve armies to watch my provinces.

Yeah that's pretty annoying. In this campaign i've lost 4 provinces as you can see from minimap if you have 3 line infantry + some generals somewhere and ofc all rail upgraded you will be ok! the most important thing is upgrade the wall of your city to last before star fort. enemy will spread so much to climb all the levels and you hold EVERYTHING with garrison + line infantry

i used to invade with 2 armies. all my upkeep was in "garrison" line infantry

What I usually do is tech rush to level 3 and then research Iron clads and then AP rounds and once you get those out, the naval battles are all yours. Just becareful auto resolve it is really unfriendly. I've been doing this at the expense of army tech research.
