    Default Seleucid Cataphract Elephants...

Are impossible to beat. I've used archers, horse archers, heavy infantry, hoplites, phalanxes, cavalry; nothing beats them! Especially when their armor is upgraded.

Any advice on how to take them down?

At this moment there are two viable solutions to address those.
    1-Use Artillery.
    2-Editing the Elephant's stats.

If you choose the second you will find the information you need in this thread, including 1 EDUn in post 17, that i don't know if is a 0-turn or 1-turn:

Elephants will be addressed in the next version of RS2 and possibly before in a patch.
    Cheers.

    No.
But make a copy of the original exp. descr. units (or whatever), just in case.

    Sertorio´s reply should be stickied.

This should be patched before 2.6. Playing any of the Eastern factions is pointless if you're facing off against elephants.

Flamming Stone throwers that even slightly grazes them will send them into amok or at least rout 70% of the time. 100% if it hits. Although you might want to go with Ballastia's for the accuracy but you have to hit them in order to rout/amok. But I also nerfed them so my regular troops can take them as well.
