Default [Working fix]: Crash when playing battle on Windows with daylight saving enabled

    Hello!

I, as some people on this board, experienced weird crash when starting any battle (doesn't matter if on campaign or custom one) in Third Age: Total War. The solution which were given me was to disable daylight saving in Windows, and it works. But it has that nasty side effect that clock in your Windows will show incorrect time (wrong hour) for half the year and there is no easy fix for that in Windows 7.

    So I cook better solution!

    1.) Download attachment
    Code:
Use third_age_3 for Third Age 3.2 vanilia
    Use third_age_3_mos for Third Age 3.2 + MOS 1.41
2.) Unpack it into "Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age_3\packs" (You should get "Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age_3\packs\third_age_3.pack")
    3.) Delete this two files:
    Code:
    Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age_3\data\descr_geography_new.txt
    Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age_3\data\descr_geography_new.db
4.) Play game without having to disable daylight saving or anything like that!

The packs I've included contain this two files you've deleted, packed for corresponding Third Age version. I don't exactly understand why having them packed solves issues, but it definitely does so.

And for the mod leaders: keep up the good work and please, include this fix in official build - it would save a lot of time and cursing for people in countries which follow daylight savings (like mine)

Yes, deleting those two files is the fix. The reason for the crash is because of a time stamp error in those two files. So, simply deleting them should fix it.
