Search help for Date Campaign

Hello,
here comes my first question in this forum
On what difficulitylevel should I start my Datecampaign? Normal, Hard, Very Hard, Legendary? (I didnt played any Total War for 6 months now) I tried it on Normal but then the Hojo decleared war on me with no reason. Then the Imagawa, then the Oda. Can somebody give me any tips what I should do first?

I think it would really depend on what difficulty you were playing Shogun 2 previously, how well you did on that difficulty and how much you think you might have forgotten in those 6 months. Also this thread might help: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Campaign-Guide

Date starts far away and get very few provinces early. I suggest you play on Normal at max with Date. I wouldn't advice you to go lower than that since if you are struggling at Normal with any clan you just need to improve upon your mechanics. I do suggest checking out my Ikko ikki campaign Episode 2 and see how i expand through nothern Japan on Legendary.

One other piece of advice. Don't get all 3 brothers Date killed in one battle like I just did. Even if it was a glorious last stand.
