Crashing on start

Hey, I've just downloaded this mod and tried everything that has been posted including a few reinstalls, I have the gold edition but haven't updated anything with it (in case there are updates required), I'm on a Windows 7 operating system and every time I launch the game the loading screen comes up but closes after a few seconds with no extra pop up after etc, I was having a problem with unspecified error but this seems to have replaced it after the 3rd reinstall, any help? Are there updates needed for the actual M2TW? Thanks in advance

Hi there and welcome to TWC forums! It sounds like a bad install, and Virtual store issue. Is your M2TW Gold non steam (DVD,Retail..) or Steam version? Where is your M2TW installed?
