More Nd more games will be added to the list of comptible ones with that virtual glasses technology ...

I personally would like this device to become as widely available as any simple pad...

Also can you imagine the great application it could have in a total war game?
It would mean a total direct imersion into the action....

As much as this kind of stuff can be great for fps (for instance, Trackir or whatever it is called was very useful for Arma or any kind of racing/flight simulators), i don't see how TW can benefit from it.

That is designed for a first person point of view (note how all the games in the list are first person). And also i doubt it will spread wildly mainly because they are often absurdly overpriced (or just too expensive for how much it improves the experience).

    Useless for total war.

    useless?
I think it would be cool to use third person view over a unit and look around.

I don´t agree. Any 3D approach to any game, and giving you the neck movement is quite impressive. If you tell me to choose between this and another really important feature probably this is useless. If porting it is easy, I think they should go for it.

The Occulus rift is a bit off yet mate and to be honest it is a bit of a gimmick. The res on the displays is really low res so you might as well celotape a smartphone to your face and see how pixelated that would be.Now if Rift had say retina quality LCD's at the quality found in Google Nexus 7 etc at say 75HZ per eye then yes i would be saying it would be pretty cool for Total war.

But in reality the neckmovement would be a pain in an RTS.Now Battlefield 4 helicopter flying is another thing entirely. That part of the game is just crying out for occulus rift. The neck movement would work just like the real upgraded helmet in the AH64 Apache! They simply look at targets to fire thier mini gun

No, strategy games with Occulus? I don't know how you're imagining it, but in my head it will look pretty stupid, best to use it only for FPS/RPG games.
