    Default otomo questions

So i went back to S2 after a few months, deciding that since i paid for it, i migt as well play the dlc. Got a few questions though.

    1) how do you use matchlocks the most effective? They often only get one volley in when the enemy is charging/coming towards you. Is fire by rank more effective?

    2) Mainly about quantities. How many tercios, donderbuss cavalry and nanban ship can you have?

    thanks

    1) matchlocks don't have a great "killing" power but there moral damage is ridiculous. I prefer just to sit on a ridge with all my infantry at the bottom and my matchlocks up the top. This solves the line of sight issues. You can also use them to flank around and kill the enemy quicker. Fire by rank is more effective if your guys are all bunched up but not if you are spread out and the enemy is charging at you as for some reason it takes them longer to shoot. Matchlocks are also great in sieges.

2)I don't think any of them are limited or capped. And thank god there not. Nothing sweeter than a donderbuss volley or a nan an trade ship ripping up an entire navy.hope this answers all your questions

Ok thanks. I will keep it in mind. And yeah ive noticed how strong they are in sieges, they rip a unit in half before it has reached the wall.

Since im playing on normal, im gonna camp a bit, and build elite armies of matchlock samurai, naginata and katana. Kyushu is a great island...

Another tip is that the province at the top of Kyushu, closest to Honshu has a fletcher so once fully upgraded you can get 70+ accuracy matchlocks. they are scary!

yeah ive red that, im rebuilding the harbors now, although i realised that it might not was necessarily.

After a 20-25 turns, when i took over kyushu, suddenly the other clans were willing to trade wit me. Honma even paid 20k for it, other clans also 5-7k:

Im 40 turns far, and already have 100k :p put the tax on minimum, and now im preparing an army to invade shikoku (after winning a siege against the mori thanks to the matchlocks). normal is a bit too easy though
