Back to S2TW after a long time and need help!

Hey guys, as the title says I haven't played S2TW for quite some time and I seriously need help. I started a campaign as the Takeada on hard but I got beaten so bad. I can survive till I have like 5 provinces then simply every faction betrays me and invades with full stacks of ashi's. I need help from more experienced players, what interests me is the following: Should I turtle or should I rush (in the early phase)?, Would it be better to have samurai early in my army or should I delay it?, Should I save money 6k or smthng then start building troops or should I always spend all of my money?. Anything will help really and many thanks in advance.

I hope you're playing with DarthMod to prevent the AI from being stupid.

It's generally better just to mop up the faction(s) you are at war with to begin with then turtle until you have a solid economic infrastructure. I prefer to focus on the economic side of the tech tree until I'm raking in the cash before teching to get samurai in my army.

I'd say 5-8. Takeda is pretty tough due to their startpos, it's not like Date or Shimazu or Chosokabe where you can have one end/island to yourself, and only have to focus on one front.
