Error 21FC

I haven't played this mod for a few years now, but with a new computer and after seeing The Hobbit, it stirred up all the old juices again. The problem is I just can't find a non-corrupted file copy to install.

I have downloaded 3.0 Part I & II nine times now and each and every time when I try to install I get the Error 21FC sometime through the install of Part I and the install stops and finishes. I have tried the Torrent that I found. Same problem. I have left the download overnight (three times), same problem. I have done the "problems with UAC & Virtual Store" fix. Same problem. I know I don't have the most stable internet where I live, but I can't recall having this sort of probem with any other mod I have downloaded.

Can anyone give me any hints/tips on what I can do to get a stable download so I can play this wonderful mod again. Any bones thrown my way would be much appreciated.

Do you perhaps have some friend with better internet connection?

Not really as anyone close is going to be in the same leaky boat. I am assuming it is just small packet or two amongst 1.5gb that is going south but unfortunately it seems that is enough to screw it up time and time again. Is the mod only available as an EXE file? Is there any place where I could download the mod as individual files instead of the EXE file?

This is a bit of an unusual case.. You're talking to someone here that lives in the woods and uses some of the worst internet (un)known to civilization

Maybe try a download manager? This is a good one: Internet Download Manager.

Though it is only a 30 day trial it's one of the best I have ever used and so far for me has always gotten the job done when nothing else would. Good luck

Thanks for the thought Trailhog. I do use a download manager as matter of course, but not the one you linked, but the same idea. Couldn't hurt eh?

Downloaded Part 1 using the above and got to 16% in the un-packing and got a corruption error " mods\Third_Age_3\data\settlements\Black_Gate_A.world: This file contains invalid data (error 11FD)

<sigh>. I have never had this sort of problem with Stainless Steel/Rome EB/Darth Mods/ect or really any other data download. Why is it the one I really really want to play is the one that is out of my reach!?..lol. I do thanks the two guys that have tried to help me but it looks like unless I can download the mod as a non-exe type file I am screwed.

Mod is downloadable only as an. exe file, so, we can't help you with that.

And, if someone would upload it as an already installed folder which you just need to copy/ paste into .../ M2TW/ mods folder, it would be very big in size, and there would be an even bigger chance for bad upload / download.
