    Default Problems with Seleucid Elephants

Hi All. First off a great mod - AI is really improved. I am having to seriously change the way I play to win at all. Anyway - playing as Carthage on M/H and was well pleased with how I was doing - powerhouse economy, Sicily under control, Numidians defeated, Egyptians pushed back and I had just taken Alexandria, Thebes and Memphis. Then along come the Seleucids with a huge army so I retreated on to a bridge waiting for normal crap AI bridge tactics.
However, the Seleucids sorted themselves out nicely leading with Elephants and Scythed chariots - and this was the rub - I could not kill those damned elephants. I thought I had got them into a killing zone - Poeni inf. to the front in Phalanx formation. Flank attacks from Sacred Band and Sacred Legionaries and showering them with flaming arrows. Result = my losses over 2000 Seleucid losses 48.
Any ideas on killing these beasts is gratefully received lol.

After that, they go down like a ton of bricks.

Cheers I'll give this a try. It was just that in a campaign I started as the Spanish my skirmishers seemed pretty ineffective against the Carthaginian elephants.
