Faster cpu, better graphics card. 512mb on a graphics has proven about minimum for Shogun2 and any speed in melee is 4GHz or better by the same people.
Oh yeah, you'll still hit that 32bit 4gb ceiling because of "tragic optimization". Off-topic but one reason I'm not buying Rome2.

The problem is that the XP 32 it was very good, better than Napoleon. A 7 64, worse than Napoelona. In addition graphic displays 443, I have 512, did this strange optimizations.
Let's hope that Rome 2 will do better ...

The game saves some of its vram for a buffer.
Dxdiag is also known for not reporting the most accurate amount of ram or vram.
