Crash on loading battle at Rhegion

To reproduce CTD, click on a city to activate scripts. End turn. Reject diplomat offer of cease of fire. Italian rebels will then seige Rome and attack Gnaeus Geminus in Rhegion. Then when you decide to go into the battle, the game crashes after a few seconds of loading.

I tried moving him to another place and the game did not crash for the battle (without the whole army though because I can't get "mp" cheat to work with the newest version of RTW. I saw a patch that does this but it is only for 1.1 and 1.2 unfortunately.
