Crash before playing

I stick my message that sum up my problem

"Hi,

I have a problem with TATW. I saw in this post is it a recurent issue i : "The game crashes before the first loading screens occurs (Reason: Installation was done in the wrong folder or some files (4 in total) of TATW 3.2 havn't been installed)"
I install TATW and i success it but when I try to reinstall it, I was confront to that issue.
So i try to reinstall again : don't work
Redownload : same
i check if i have install in the good folder, it was.
So how i can solve this issue that i think it is because some files haven't been installed ?

Another thing i try to run "third age.bat" as an administrator and a window open where it's written : kingdom.exe couldn't been found". But i install it in the good folder SEGA/M2TW/MOD.
I run on vista and i have the gold edition of M2TW. Besides a total reinstall of M2TW is impossible because i lost utilisator books so the install key too...

Have you disabled UAC before installing TATW?

Do you have kingdoms.exe inside of SEGA/M2TW set to run as admin as well? Is the kingdoms.exe even there? Most of the time if TATW won't start and if reinstalling with UAC off doesn't fix it either, the next thing I would suggest is a reinstall of M2TW. (and to delete the SEGA folder before reinstalling)

But if you're using Windows Vista

and if you have never touched the UAC (User Account Control) settings, odds are it's turned on and that's your problem.

What is UAC ? Where i can ound it, what i have to do to change it and to what ? I can't reinstall MIITW because of i loose the key for the installation...
And when i install TATW there isn't any problem it's when i reinstall it.
So what do i have to do with UAC

I believe UAC was intended to keep users from accidentally deleting files and folders essential to their PC. (in short it causes trouble

)

Start>*Click on the picture above your user name*>This should open a window with a few options, now click on Change User Account Control settings> and move the slider to the bottom next to Never Notify and click OK and restart your PC and then try a TATW reinstall.

You have to do one more thing before installing TATW again: Check the Virtual store for any Third_Age_3 folder.

1. Go here and apply step 3 from section How to fix it for your main M2TW folder ( C:\ Program Files\ SEGA\ Medieval II Total War, or if you have it installed somewhere els, apply it on that M2TW folder, for example: D:\ Games\ SEGA\ Medieval 2 Total War).

2. Uninstall TATW using Control Panel\ Uninstall program.

3. Delete manually Third_Age_3 folder in your ......\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods folder.

4. Unhide hidden folders:
On your DESKTOP, click on START in the bottom left corner, in Search Programs and Files type in Folder Options, click on Folder Options, go to VIEW section, and in Hidden files and folders check the box next to SHOW hidden files, folders or drives. Apply, and OK.

5. BEFORE installing Third Age again, go to Virtual store ( C:\ Users\ [user name or your PC`s name]\ AppData\ Local\ VirtualStore\ Program Files\ Medieval 2 Total War\ mods folder), delete Third_Age_3 folder found there.

6. Install all four TATW parts - TATW part 1 and part 2, TATW patch 3.1 and TATW patch 3.2 ( CHECK the INSTALLATION paths carefully for ALL Installers, usually it is C:\........\SEGA\Medieval II Total War, but it can be some other folder path for you if you installed M2TW somewhere els)

7. For battle crashes, Disable daylight saving settings, you have Windows Vista, go to Control Panel, Clock, Date and Time, Change the time zone, Change time zone, uncheck `Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Savings time`.
