    Hey Everyone,

I've just started a Rome campaign on VH/VH and I'm planning to try conquer every region in the shortest time in turns possible. I have no idea what a good time frame goal to aim for is so I'm putting it to you. If you've seen my Blitz Campaign Videos for M2TW you'll see that I'm no rookie when it comes to this stuff. Post your bets.

With all my respect to this excellent mod, how boring it would be?

I agree, completely. "Long campaign" (the short campaign isn't available in 1-turn) objectives are quite challenging, and going far beyond might not be really interesting.

It would get tedious and exhausting and would consume an unhealthy amount of time if you aim for perfection, also sometime the game can crash if you expand to fast in my experience.

well, if you find it boring then don't participate. I haven't spent that long on it so far and I've got 27 regions on turn 3. If anything, a blitz campaign takes a lot less time than a normal one.

I find going slow boring. I like to rampage and watch those red borders expand.

I don't believe this will be as easy as with Kingdoms. I'll put a wager for 23 turns.

What faction are you going to play, horse archers again?

Playing as Rome. 23 turns! lol I'm not that fast. That's insane. Like the vote of confidence though. You're right about it not being as easy as Kingdoms, although I never blitzed a Kingdoms campaign.

M2, of course. I've had fun following your Turks campaign.

    42 turns, then.

I have no idea how long it takes, I always take my time on campaigns, micro managing settlements, getting that perfect structure to my legions, preparing the 'supply trains'... Then, finally, moving fast for that kill...

Is blitzing even possible with the economy and building system?

You could always recruit men in the home settlements, so troops will be an issue with speed. Economy? Depends on how many men he needs. Rebellions will cripple him I think though. Also have fun at region 85

Oh dam i did not realize it was you who posted this TotalWarLegend, silly me, well if really want to take all region you are gonna have to fight a lot of monster battles assuming you are ok with that i think it should take you at least 45 or something be careful about the rebellions thought they will be a major hurdles,[also i think the Seleucid empire would be more suited for this]

Every region in 22 years? (45 turns). I don't believe it at all. No, I bet around 120 turns.

45 turns seems a bit tough in my opinion, but I think I'd be close by that point at the very least. I'm nowhere near as experienced in this mod as M2TW vanilla. The Seleucids probably are more suited, but I prefer Rome over all the others just because it's Rome. It's my favourite country out of everything in history.

I fully understand this sounds insanely difficult, but that's the point. After the peasant campaign in M2TW I just can't play a regular campaign any more. I need to either have massive restrictions or be playing at some incredible pace.

Also, I've found so far that mercenaries are more useful than legionnaires. I've done more damage with archers and slingers than heavy infantry. My strategies are still somewhat the same from my Turk blitz, although i don't have horse archers. Kill the general and get a rout going.

Whatever the case, it's going to take a long time before I come close to finishing this.

Playing as Rome with their completely destroyed economy and impending doom of rebels and Carthiginians, on top of having to make tons and tons of spies to be able to take that many cities without garrison script, on top of the amount of army it would take to keep those cities from rebelling, I doubt anyone could do it in 200 turns really.

There's a hotfix for rebellion though, isn't there.

I've almost destroyed Carthage and Macedon on turn 3. I've taken both of their capitals, Hannibal and Philip are dead. Also, you don't have to have spies if the enemy city sallies out. And sometimes the garrison script doesn't even work. I've also taken Syracuse.

There's the second rebellion though after you've taken some 85 settlements. You need to disable that part of the RSII script to have any chance of an early world domination.

    Any videos?

oh ok. I didn't think to disable, or rather not enable, the script. I wonder though, if I do that and simply skip the rebellions, would that cheapen a victory? Now that I think on it, was that the reason a few cities didn't get a full garrison when I besieged it?

I usually don't do any videos until I've played through the entire campaign. I've gone half way through some recently and decided they weren't going to make good videos so I abandoned them. I don't want someone that uploads half a series. Every series that has an episode 1 will have a finale. That's my guarantee.

If you don't disable the 2nd rebellion (not the one in the beginning), I believe it is neigh impossible to capture all the settlements, as towards the end a good two thirds rebels against you...

With all respect, playing the campaign on VH difficulty is actually easier than on H difficulty. it's a well known fact that has been posted here many times.
