Darth Mod/Darth Formations??

What's the difference? What exactly is different in the Darth mod? Is the AI actually changed, or does it just seem changed because of the formations? I ask because I really like the realism of RTR style mods, but I won't give up the battle gameplay of Darth Mod for good looking skins. When I was playing the RTR plat mod, I don't remember having the darth formations, but i've been told that RTR plat has them. I'm really confused about this.

DarthMod is a full Total conversion for 1.5 and 1.6 maxium effect of improvement of ai and larger epic battles with less lag
DarthFormations are just the formations which can be put in any 1.5/1.6 mod
