Default Congo Total War (using the 1648 landscape)

First of all, I'd like to say that I absolutely LOVE 1648... One of the best mods in my opinion, thus far.. My only concern is for the lack of mods using such a GRAND scale! Who agrees that making a Congo Total War using the landscape of 1648 would be absolutely amazing? Of course there would be a lot of modification so that the landscape would match that of Africa's. But imagine having to use the river systems to make it across the continent of Africa, much like the game-play in 1648... You'd play as the Portuguese for the major European power at the time, and the other African Kingdoms in the area. Religion would be a huge aspect in the game-play, the spread of Catholicism over the what the natives used to believe in. The two major kingdoms would obviously be Portugal and the Kingdom of Congo, and the starting date would be around 1491, the time Portuguese soldiers and priests arrived in the area!

Here's an image if somebody ever decides to go through with the idea.

The best image I could find, depicting the Kingdom of Kongo.

I realize I could put this anywhere else, but I love the style of mapping for 1648.. There should be mods that branch off of it like my idea.

    Hi,

I had a similar idea last last year and made a thread about it, you can find it here. I didn't get a chance to work on it due to school, but now I am resuming it. Maybe we could work together ?
