Icon4 annoying camera angel and tall dense Forests dont make good battle lol

i dont know if anyone notices this , but through out my Gondor game , everytime i go near Mordori have battles in very dense forests (and very tall trees) , and my cameria can no longer zoom in to the very same ground level of the troops (the middle scroll button on my mouse now just zooms into what ever unit i chose and gets stuck , i dont know whats going on with it but im sure before i can just move my camera around on the same ground level of my troops) , now combined that with the dense forest ,

I CANT SEE MOST OF MY ARMY during the battle , how am i suppose to play battles like this ?

You mean you can't use the scroll wheel to zoom into the ground?

Either way, you can use the flash player colours button to see where your army is, make better use of the minimap and your unit cards, generally just pay more attention to what's going on. It can be annoying but I justify it to myself by saying that, well, my general would be having a tough time down there so it makes sense for me to be too.

It's part of the challenge and challenge is fun!

yes thats what i meant , and im sure back then i could , i dont know why i cant anymore lol

and sure i have the map but i cant even "point" my attacks on the enemy cause even though i might know where they are i still have to move my cursor over them which can be a PAIN to do ><

We have not changed anything related to the camera, you should be able to zoom in/out with the mouse wheel as always. What you describe happens if you double click over a unit, or if you choose the "general camera" as default.

In game settings, there is an alternative camera where you can control the angle of the camera with the keys (named "deafult RomeTW", I think). I use "asdw" to move the camera, "f" "r" to change the angle, and the mouse wheel to change the height.

I think this is just an issue with the RTW camera in general. While my mouse scroll wheel works fine, even in vanilla RTW the big forest battles were tough because you just can't see the armies or underlying terrain very well. The forests add great atmosphere, but I do wish the developers would have made the forest canopy somewhat transparent (I think that's what Stronghold did, if I remember correctly). So it's the same deal here. I love seeing my Silvan armies ambush orcs in Mirkwood, but it's a pain to direct (or sometimes even to *find*) my troops with such little visibility.
