Crash when starting

When I try to start Third age, during the first loading screen, it crashes and returns to the desktop. I have tried un-installing Third age, and I have tried un-installing Medieval 2, but neither have worked. It worked the first time I loaded it, but I had to un-install it and when I re-installed it, it did not work. All the files appear to be in the right place, so could someone please tell me how to fix it please?

Answer few of these question so we can help you out:

1. What Windows do you have?

2. Is your M2TW steam, or non steam version, DVD, retail.. ?

3. Have you downloaded and installed all four TATW parts ( TATW 3.0 part 1 and part 2, TATW patch 3.1, TATW patch 3.2 ) ?

4. Where is your M2TW\ Kingdoms installed? Give us the exact installation folder path.

1. You can update your M2TW\Kingdoms to 1.5 ( 1.05) if they aren`t already updated ( open one of Kingdoms campaigns, open Options and in the right corner check what version you have). It is not neccessary to update to 1.05, but it helps. You can find patches HERE, sometimes UK patch doesn`t work for UK version, or US for US version, when you don`t get an error message during updating, then you will know you got the right patch.


2. If you don`t want to update your M2TW\Kingdoms and leave it as it is, then go HERE and follow these steps to install Third Age TW. Good luck!
