Default A message to CA: The pre-order DLCs should be given to GOTY Edition owners for free...

When I purchased Empire & Napoleon Game of the Year Edition, I was full of satisfaction that I had the complete game as written on the box, and I could enjoy the whole it has to offer. I had a huge amount of fun in this game, and Napoleon became my favorite TW game. Until CA decided to be greedy and released the new DLCs which were pre-orders....

Now, I feel that something very important is missing. I don't have fun playing the game anymore. I am still wondering how such an important unit like Scots Greys were left out just for CA to be a greedy and deny players a chance to have it. There are some even more unfortunate people who cannot even play with the Coldstream Guards since most good units like those are DLCs. The only relief for me was that at least Old Guard was allowed in the base game.

This thing is continuously frustrating and angering me. WHY THE HECK do you advertise the Game of the Year Edition as a 'complete collection' when it is not, CA? If you advertise it as a full collection, then why do you separate the openly released pre-order DLCs from it? Why should you cheat the customers and advertise complete lies?

As a paid owner of GOTY Edition, it is MY RIGHT to have those DLCs for free, since I have already paid in full for that so called 'complete collection' of yours. Why should I pay extra to have DLCs that should have either packed in with the complete collection, or given later to prove that what you advertise is not a total lie?

Now, before anyone jumps on me, let me say two things first.

Firstly, I am NOT opposing DLCs here, even though I oppose DLCs everywhere else. What I am opposing is CA's frustrating lies and unfair business practices that show how they are slowly following in that rotten scum-of-the-earth named Electronic Arts. Why deny a major game feature to the players who have FULLY paid you for it, since it is a 'complete' edition and it should contain ALL the DLC crap. Scots Greys, Coldstreams and many units were purposefully held back and it is clear. About other units, this is not the case, but this rotten practice is confirmed about important units.

Secondly, the arguments against my statement like 'that DLC is so cheap now' or 'why cannot you buy such a cheap DLC' don't apply on me. I CANNOT buy online because I simply DON'T have a credit card, or even a bank account. All I can do is to buy disks and box copies of the game, and 98% of my games are disk versions. A good cousin of mine used to buy me some DLCs or games online, but he is not around here anymore for studying at a distant place. So I cannot buy DLCs even if they are dirt-cheap.

This is a poor show, CA. You don't deliver what you advertise simply because you are greedy for extra money, and you are directly cheating and lying. This is a total exploitation of loyal customers, although fortunately not as grand in scale as EA does. I cannot enjoy Fall of the Samurai either, just because the load of DLC spam you have done there.

The last TW game I was able to enjoy fully was Medieval II since it had no DLC crap. Now I have Empire with all DLCs and it can be fully enjoyed, it is too much incomplete and buggy (even with mods like Darthmod Empire) to be enjoyed fully. And just thinking how many DLCs and incompetent lies will CA throw at us with Rome II makes me shiver.

I think the justice should be done to the players (including me) who have been victims of this great lie. Why is the DLC still kept separate when we have already paid for that? Napoleon is a great game, but why do you take our money and run? Why are we not given the DLCs till yet?

Hmm...so it is my fault that so many pre-order units were released three months after what I bought was clearly advertised as a 'complete' collection that will carry all the DLCs including Peninsular Campaign? And it is my fault that they were not added to what was supposed to be a 'complete' collection?

First of all, they gave you everything that was on the box e.g. Peninsular Campaign etc. Secondly, they're not going to give it to you for free. Either come to terms with the fact that you're not going to have all the DLC, or obtain a credit card so you can purchase it online. I'm sorry, but nobody here can really help you with this.

Which means, all the things CA advertised were lies.

    I was once like you, angry because I couldn't buy DLC's online. Then I discovered these babies;

These are awesome. I can buy everything without the need for a creditcard.

I'm not going to comment on your rant about CA being greedy bastards as I've heard it dozens of time and simply don't care.

    I don't follow.
You played the game, and then they released the pre-order DLCs?
Afair, the pre-order were only available before the game was out. How did they suddenly get released halfway throughout you playing?

They released the special editions DLC's and the preorder units, like the Royal Scots Grey, the HMS Elephant and the Grand Battery of the Convention, in July last year.

This is what the wiki says:

Empire and Napoleon Total War - Game of the Year Edition*- this version contains the full versions of both*Empire*and*Napoleon, including most of their available downloadable content. Pre-orders made via the*Steam*content delivery system included another special unit: the Royal Scots Greys.[10]*Orders made via certain retailers likewise included various special units: HMS*Elephant, Towarczys, and the*Grand Battery*of the*Convention[11]
