naah man naaah
Wicthes? -.- I can see Druids coming along for moral but not with a stick. I can see a Brigantes woman fighting but that's probably because I love the movie centurion XD
Not to be a party pooper or anything... But for everyone complaining about historical accuracy you do realize that complaining about concept art is a waste of energy? Whether the end product is historically authentic or not, the end product almost NEVER looks like its concept art. Take a look at a few art books for games and movies some time and you will see that developers go through many variations of concepts until they settle on something, which might not even be one of the concepts to begin with.
I'm not saying the arguments over historical authenticity are valid or not but it is a waste of energy getting worked up over concept pieces used more for marketing and generating buzz than being used for the actual game.
They still have Screaming Women? Seriously, I thought CA had grown up a bit since Rome 1.
CA needs competition.

Let the Preservation, Advancement and Evolution of Mankind be our Greater Good.
And NO, my avatar is the coat of arms from the Teutonic Knightly Order because they're awesome.
Ancient historians wrote that when the Cimbri and Teutones invaded the Republic, they did so not as an army, but as a peoples - men marched with women and children. In battle, the women would stand with the baggage carts and camps and shout encouragements at their men, and if their men ran away, they would kill them. Screaming women certainly do have historical precedent.
holy **** those celtic unit look rad as ****. GJ CA i cant wait to lead my selected band of chosen warriors to punch a hole through roman lines.
imo the looks are authentic enough without the faux fantasy element and shirtless soccer fans look. im happy.

imo the looks are authentic enough without the faux fantasy element and shirtless soccer fans look. im happy. what we considered historical is purely based on limited fragmentary evidence anyway. im cool with CA giving things an asthetic lift. Celtic warriors with some roman equipment is not too unhistorical if said celt took it from a legionnaire he killed as supplementary equipment. Even mongols do that when john caprini came across a cavalryman who wore chainmail taken from an alan he killed.
Not to take anything away from CA's art team but this guy should be working for CA!

Only one TWC will I ever see such nitpicking over concept art. Annibal please stop posting.
Concept art is just that. Concept. Stop thinking its the final thing.
And to those of you crying 'muh historical accuracy', You can take the Iceni to Baktria and back, its possible. This game is not a history simulator and it was never intended to be so.

Supporter of Facial Hair for extra Manliness.
Why did they try so hard to make the arverni people so ugly? Their faces are just yuk, whereas I could imagine doing the Iceni warrior woman, the Arverni one made me want to scream and run away shouting: kill it! kill it with fire!
Very good !

That sort of gear could have potentially existed. Not exactly high science.
The Iceni concepts all seem to be wearing hamata- obviously the final product is going to deviate from the concepts but to me, this indicates that the higher-tier Iceni units are going to be based on Romano-British concepts. It's not historical in the event that the Romans never hold Britain for an extended period of time, but I think in artistic terms its a perfectly justifiable choice and it may be necessary to make high-level British armor distinguishable from Gallic armors.
i wonder how the women managed to get hair straighteners in that era? They look a little too manicured for my taste.
