Yes i saw them too the artwork are sweet.
Barbarians look great!!
That first picture reminds me, have they moved away from the utterly crappy ridiculous 1v1 motion capture yet? I'm guessing that's the testudo in the first picture but it looks more like every man for himself rather then a formation.
Could just be the angle i guess
edit: although the first rank has shields above their heads too, so perhaps it's a different formation

Too much barbarian, not enough of anything else.
Thanks for showing it, although the buildings aren't really new. i'v seen 'em somewhere else before.
Yeah. I hated how in Shogun one samurai would duel each other. The way they throw each other around and cut off each others heads looked so stupid...
It worked really well for Shogun 2.It would not work so well with Rome 2. If you have watched some of the trailers you would of noticed that there was one 2 v 1 motion capture fight. A barbarian tackled a Roman, then a second barbarian comes and shops the Roman in the gut with his sword. I'm going to make the safe assumption if there is one, there is more.
Cool artwork.. The first images of the Romans, and buildings are great. All the portraits look pretty good but they all have such nice complexion. They could use some scars. The screaming female could use a little bit of muscle as well. I want to see more screen shots! Is that a dog or a hyena though?
Double post, pardon.
Great stuff! I hope we'll be seeing those heads in-game a bit later on. They look smashing.
Wonder what Anibal and Antiochus'll think.![]()
Good luck with that testudo...

Rep for everyone if Anibal uses the word "Abberation" in his post.
A bunch of soldiers holding their shields above their heads does not mean its a testudo. Its just common sense if there's arrows flying at your head. You can see the same in the Carthage video.
Errr.....
That seems.....weird.....
Yeah, I'll admit that it kind of does. But being that it's just the druids that are like that, and they probably wore weird shiz every now and then I don't really mind.
Those are some badass barbarians. Sorry Rome, I may not be starting with you after all.
