France doesn't need more units.

Nah, I just use unit mods.
A DLC which adds another campaign would be more worthwhile than adding a few more units to a faction that already has an impressive roster

Anyone know of any good mods worth downloading that give Britain some extra units? I'm looking for German units, possibly Dutch/Portuguese. Just something that adds a few extra special units. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
I would only pay for a DLC if it added the features that were missed from the original game.
The most important of these for both ETW and NTW was the unit design tool, which was supposed to allow players to define their own regiments and unit types. This should have allowed players to specify basic uniform details such as jacket, trouser, colour, facing colours, unit name, and headdress shape. It was actually in the list of promises for things that CA were going to put right after the launch of ETW, but like most of these promises they were never delivered.
The other major one of course was the multi-player campaign option, which seems to get promised at every new launch and never materialises.
Paying for extra units is a mugs game, when the modding community can produce them for free and with much more accuracy than CA's designers. For some reason CA only seem to use one source for their uniform information and this is obviously unreliable.
Didz,
In other words - if the CA does not give me what I want - so let nothing will![]()

Not sure I understand that statement.
Basically, what I'm saying is I am only prepared to pay for additional content if it adds features to the game. Or put another way, if I can get something better for nothing I'm not going to be daft enough to pay for it.
Thats true, but only really useful for those of you with the technical skills to use PFM etc. I tried doing it to correct some of the ETW units but couldn't work it out, so I ended up using a free mod to provide decent uniforms. The CA promise was that the game would come with a unit editor that made it simple so every unit could have a different uniform is desired.

Never forget gentlemen, they promised us mod tools. They didn't deliver. I refuse to purchase any Shogun titles, and will more than likely boycott Rome2 until they get over themselves with the "proprietary tools" garbage.
