Is the storm of Chaos still on???

Hello.

I'm currently doing a Reikland campign and it's around turn 67. So 4-5 turns since the chaos united event. And Grimor has already spawned with his 10 stacks of orcs.

However, not seeing any Chaos forces in Empire lands atm. I was wondering if they still have the 20+ stack spam that people were talking about??

Also, i've a compliant about the game being too easy. Even playing on VH/VH, i've a economy bringing in over 180k per turn without summer fairground and able to support 23+ elite stacks that's able to get kill to death ratios at 10:1 for even Grimor's personal stack.

I use this format for my army and it's working really well.

1 General with 7+ star. (After a few turns in Altdorf, people always get like gray wand + a few others that gives them super command)

If that general's a greatsword general, i'll bring in a Reikguard knight gen for the regenating knights.

1 Knight Unit on top of the General.

5 Halberds or 5 spearmen with 2 shield, sword and 5-7 exp upgrade.

2 besiegers 2 free company archer

1 motar + helstorm rocket if possible

2 handgunners or dwave guns or witch gunners.

2 flank guards + a shock troop of greatsword or warpriest.

But in any case, i think even if the chaos spam the empire with 20+ stacks. I'll be able to handle them by myself :/, let alone the whole empire.

BTW, slavania has already been wiped out. Kiesliev has all their land back beacuse i send 5+ stacks to overwhelm the chaos spam and have 2 defending them.

Orcs are almost dead, Night gobins are almost dead. Chaos dwarves are left with 1 town..

I could've send 10+ stacks up to the chaos waste and literrly take out chaos before they even spawn.

Is this normal guys? I'm playing with no scripts off, and used aboustely no cheats. And i ended grimor's spam to the turn he spawned with 10+ stacks too...

Forgot. always bring 2 pistoliers into a stack.

they'll almost always kill the enemy gen before a game. And lure the enemy to you if u're attacking.

Not to mention the high aviablity of them as every town with a stable has them. I have like 15+ full stacks just waiting at middleheim for arachon And I've 2 full stacks of pistoliers just waiting to kill his personal army of deamons

On turn 63 I believe, all of Chaos becomes united, on turn 73, a ton of chaos armys spawn outside of Ostland, they then move South acrost Kislev, taking it, aswell as hitting Bechafen, and then taking over Talablecland, the rest move on Wolfenburg/Salzenmund, if they take Salzenmud they take Middenheim, and then go for Altdorf.

There is a good reason your play through is so easy. Reikland has it easy, the least scripted attacks, CAPITAL O THE EMPIRE, surrounded by friendly nations, so extremely rich!

If you want a REAL challenge, play as Nordaland or Ostland, OR i you want to REALLY suffer, play as Kisliv!

I didn't find Kislev was hard to play as at all...They have great cavalry and those guys with the flaming bottles (forget the name) are absolutely amazing (I have had them kill over 1000 troops in a siege defense)

However, Ostland and Nordland are quite the challenge...Especially Ostland since it can't get any Mercs which sucks heh...

I think i'll try kisliev or Ostland next. But even so mate, i still think it'll be fairly simple because merchants can bring in over 50k for me a turn.

and If i rush Marienburg like i always do, i'll get around 25k a turn just from that one city.

Also, the empire troops are very very strong if you know how to use them. Spearmen in shield wall with good upgrades can literally never break and beat back chaos chosens. When u compared the 130 to 600 upkeep. That's pretty crazy

Only thing that is a slight annyonce is the low aviablity of knights. But that's of course easily solved by bringing in upgraded pistoliers and just having a super mobile full stack of pistoliers led by a good cav gen to wipe out anything that spawns including a full stack of deamons

I'm playing as Nordland in my current game and this is the most epic campaign I'v played so far.
At one point I was reduced to 2 settlements (Salzenmund and the port to the north) due to various chaos, orc and dark elf spawns, while my allies took a beat from Beastmen, Sylvania and Orcs. The Empire was on the brink if collapse! My faction leader died a heroic death in a bloody battle against Chaos under Salzenmund, but his son had stopped the enemy at the very gate of the inner city! Then slowly managed to recapture the surrounding cities, free Middenheim and Krudenwald (money makers) from beastmen, and when finally my merchants started to make profit we expaned Nordland with capturing the Blood Keep, Nuln and Wissenland!

Such epic game with many turning points in the campaign, wish I could make a real story it
I'm still a lot weaker than Chaos Undivided (who just started their march) but since I gifted some settlements back to other empire nations they grew in strength a lot and now we stand a chance united!

kmart. How many army were you able to support mate?

I never had that problem, I would think even when playing as one of the more dangerous provinces. The only income i'll losing is around 18k from altdorf per turn and the + 3 experience from the emperor's palace.

I would just advice getting one unit to mordheim, and superstack the merchants there like i did. 50k easy money a turn

Also it should be fairly simple for nordland to rush marienburg creating another 25k a turn?

I believe that the "put 100 merchants on warpstone" does not count as legitimate economic policy at least in my opinion. If any of the outside imperial nations, played without that can be rather difficult but also rewarding.
Also for an extra wonderful challenge for opponetmule perhaps you should try a Sylvania VH/VH without the merchant spam. Having 2 stacks with bright wizards on you about turn 10 can be rather fun lol.

It's still there just takes a while for the stacks to spawn after the initial message and then the north of the empire gets hit with about 30 - 40 stacks of maniacs, it gets very messy very fast
