Before I go any further: I am a complete and total noob with screenshots, so you will have to forgive my lack of knowledge
Basically, when I try to take a screenshot of my game using the typical PrtSc key, if I paste it into paint.net it will simply show the programs I had up in the background (google chrome, paint.net), or if I had no running programs: my desktop. I have searched around the internet for solutions, and not found any pertaining to my problem - although it is entirely possible I might have missed some detail that would have fixed it.If it is of any use, I'm running on Windows 7, Acer Aspire 5560 laptop. Any more requested details I will provide to the extent of my knowledge.

Your ingame screenshots will be in your .tgas folder for the DVD version.
For Steam version and not in the tgas folder, check the Steam forums.
I use Howie's Quick Screen Capture. It's free and works better than Windows' PrtScrn.
