napoleon total war dosen't load

Hi, I recently got a new computer, and with it, napoleon total war.

I downloaded it and everything seemed fine but when I went to click on the icon it said "preparing to run" and then, nothing!!

I've scoured the web, gone to the steam support desk and nothing!

can someone help me?
