Game crashes after editing export_descr_unit
I love this mod and have played it for a couple weeks now and there is only one thing i do not like about it. The battles in this are just too long for me. I found a way to fix it by going into the export_descr_unit file and lowering the defense stat for every unit by half. so i did this painstakingly arduous task and was successful for the file in Rome - Total War>Data. This actually worked for the two faction i played (Macedon and Sparta).
I thought i had solved my problem but not until i tried to play as Rome did i find out it would not work. I learned that rome faction has its own unit file in the Play_Rome folder. The thing is, is that i did not want to spend all this time to change every defense stat so i took the other unit file and added the couple units that the Play_Rome file had. Well i compared the files in Notepad++ and they are similar except for some details such as the defense that i had change and cost values. When i replaced the unit file now whenever i start a new Rome campaign as soon as the load bar completes i get the "Rome - total war has stopped working" error. if i put back the original unit file then it will work.
So after all this time i spent could someone please help me and tell me what is wrong with my unit file?

I don't think many people will have the time to spend to de-bug your modding attempts.
Have a look in the 'Rome Workshop' as they may have some tools to help debug the problems. Probably this bit: here.
If you find that battles are taking too long take a look at the _IMPOIRTANT_STUFF folder in the data folder - there are several EDUs in there that will make battles shorter.
