Setting fire to things...
Oftentimes in my campaign i'm besieging a castle, and find myself frustrated by a shortcoming of my men. They are more than happy to throw little flaming bottles at gates and defensive structures, but absolutely refuse to throw those things at a wall. If I try and order them to attack the "wall" they climb it instead.
Other than recruiting siege units like Fire Bomb Throwers, is there some way to mod a melee unit to attack a section of the wall instead of climb it? Would taking away their climb ability do it? Do I need to give them a very short range fire attack? And would the AI even use this?
Come to think of it, i've barely used Fire Bomb Throwers.... can they even be ordered to attack walls?
Note: Archers, while Fire Arrows are active, can be ordered to attack structures but I don't think this includes walls either. I can also sometimes order melee units to throw their little flaming bottles from a strange angle, and set part of the wall alight in the process of trying to light up a gate.
In short i'm wondering if this is something I can solve with a mod.

Fire Bomb Throwers can indeed attack sections of walls, and it's quite effective, I must say. If you can keep them from getting shot to pieces on the approach, they can bomb the walls and make the walls to mysteriously explode, sending everyone on the wall flying off into the big blue yonder. And archery units too, can fire at walls when fire arrows are active. The problem is, that fire arrows have low incendiary chance and are not active for very long. There is an entry in projectiles database that deals with incendiary rate, and active time in unit_special_abilities.
As for the regular units, there's an entry in unit_stats_land table that deals with the ability to fire on walls, but I doubt that'd be very useful as the AI will not use it. And it'll probably cause a myriad other issues too. Best bring some siege weapons if you'd rather burn the castle down!

I think there should be a mod. Where a ninja could blaze the walls, like on the campaign. That would definitely be great
