No particle effects?!!!

Since i am playing the DLC fall of the samurai i am missing all particle effect.not only effects such as smoke from cannonfire (known parrot bug) but ALL particle effects, including burning castle gates/towers and musket fire. Its really annoying because i esspecially liked the burning castle gate feauture but all is completly missing. All my settings are on ultra and my drivers are up to date (AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series). Tried to delete some script files, reinstalled game, vertified game files, delete registeryblob file but nothing works. Can someone please help me??

With coincidence i discovered in multiplayer, my game version is not up to date. In the gamelist had everyone a different version, so could this be related to my particle effect isseu? I deleted in my log file the modified.txt file and vertified game files but i still have a outdated version while steam sais my version is up to date? How can i solve this? I think if i can get my version up to date the particle effects will come back!

If you have any mods installed, it can cause this with multiplayer.

Unistalled my mods but it didn't solve anything. Still out dated game version, while steam sais i have the latest version and no particle effects? More ideas/solutions?

Did you also delete the scripts folder before verifying the game cache?
